the Skeleton Closet

Multimuse Site featuring characters from Final Fantasy Online XIV.
   written by  Bones  (She/They/It, 25+)

This section will not show up on the carrd itself, this is here for instruction purposes only. You can delete this section if you want. If you have an issue or need help that isn't covered in the tips below, you are welcome to contact me for help via my askbox @rcsea on tumblr.

Terms of Use

  • Edit as much as you like, but don't remove any credits present. They are the small © symbols. Leave them alone. You may change the color to match your custom palette for your carrd but do not make them invisible or hard to see.

  • Don't claim as your own work OR use this template as a base for a different template OR use it for any commissions, paid or not. If you use this template, I don't care how much you edit it, go wild, but the credit has to stay intact and you cannot claim it as your own.

  • Do not use to promote illegal, harmful, or hateful content. No burn books, no hate blogs, no callout blogs, nothing of the sort.

How to Add More Muse Bios

  • At the bottom of the previous muse info section (should be the very bottom of the carrd unless you add other things), add a new #sectionbreak and name it what you wish. If you don't know how to do that, you can just copy the #muse1 break but you MUST rename it. Every section must have an individual name to link to, even if you just go with something simple like #muse1 #muse2 #muse3, so on and so forth.

  • Directly below that, add a scroll point  ( the yellow line ),  or as mentioned above, copy the previous scroll point and rename it if you don't know how to set one up.

  • Copy everything between  #muse1  and your new section and drag everything into place. Make sure you highlight the individual containers to delete instead of each individual element as that will save lots of time by copying and moving things all at once. If done right, you should only have to copy / move four things for each new muse you add (the title + two sections + the return button), unless you also need to copy the section breaks.

  • Link to the new muse bio wherever you wish. If you link within the carrd itself, such as linking to it from the muse roster here, then you can just link with #whateveryounamedthis, but if you link outside of the carrd (i.e. from tumblr) then you need to put the full link. So your link would be ( https://yourcarrdname.carrd.co/#whateveryounamedthis ).

How to Add Muses to the Roster

  • The muses are divided into rows of three. There is a new container for every row to prevent uneven spacing. To add more muses, you need to duplicate the container as a new one instead of adding to the same one, keeping only to a row of three per container.

  • Make a copy of the image and description sections and move them into place. There should only be two things to copy per new muse.

  • If a row has an empty space with no muse, click on the container, select the column that is empty (left, middle, or right) and check the box that says "use as spacer". If you have two muses in a row instead of three and want them to center, delete the empty column and the other two will adjust automatically. If you need to re-add the column later when adding another muse, just click "add column" and the sizes should also automatically adjust in that case as well.

How to Add More Categories

  • Make a new yellow scroll point and place it between the last category container and the dividing line before the "scroll to top" button, or wherever you want your new category to go if not at the bottom. Give the scroll point a unique name.

  • Copy a box with the category title and a box with the section of muses in it and move them below the new scroll point you have just made.

  • Click the category buttons at the top, add a new button, and link it to the scroll point you just made. You can rearrange the buttons if the order of the categories has changed.

Image Sizing

  • The banner on the front page is most suited for images at a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on personal preference. It should be at least 1000px wide for best results. (The one that comes with the template is 2000px wide.)

  • Images on the muse roster are roughly around a 5:3 ratio. They will resize based on width, so don't worry about exact size other than matching them with each other by ratio. They work best if they are at least 360px wide or greater.

  • The tall image in the muse bio template is at a 9:16 ratio. It will also resize based on width. If you make the bio longer, you may want a taller image, or to add another column to the container so it does not outgrow the image too much and make the spacing look weird. The image here will work best with the current spacing if it is at least 450px wide or greater.

  • If you need help with image sizing, or re-sizing anything / fixing spacing, you're more than welcome to shoot me a message on my blog and I'll try to help when I can.

No godmodding, for the love of all that is good. Minor actions, like taking my character's hand and dragging them along is fine, but assuming they won't dodge an attack or assuming they will automatically feel threatened by your big bad wolf is reserved for people who know me and my characters well.
  002
No rp fighting unless spoken about it. I don't mind facing IC consequences, but I don't like people assuming they can just slam my character's head into a wall or something without talking to me about it or giving me a chance to react.
A simple "Hey, I'd like to do this thing, what do you think?" goes a long way.
  003
Walk Up rp is all fine by me, but if I'm not responding, I'm likely tabbed out, feel free to send me a tell to ping me! I tab out a lot if I'm not specifically somewhere with someone, so don't assume I'm there 100% of the time!

  004
If I upset you in any way, please talk it out with me first. It's more than likely that it was not intentional and something I said came across very different than what I meant. Please feel free to ask if it was meant to be taken that way! We're all adults here, let's please act like it.
  005
I will not write with anyone below the age of 18, even 18 is pushing my limits. For my own comfort, I prefer those writing with me to be over the age of 21.
  006
In the same vein of Rule #5, I will not roleplay with anyone that has the Female+/F+/Futa tag located anywhere on their character information.
Trans characters are one thing (and totally loved/accepted), but futas are just a fetish through and through, and that is something I will personally not condone or interact with.

  007
Due to just who I am as a person and the content I consume, and also just frankly my age and the experiences that come with it, all of my characters come with some sort of trigger warning. I generally write with 21+ concepts, even if the character themselves aren't too heavily involved. Topics such as drugs, murder, organized grime groups, sex, and even more taboo subject like slavery and cannibalism have made their way into my writing. We all have our tastes, and if the darker side of life isn't for you, then I as a person and writer, probably am not as well.
  008   IC=/=OOC.
My character being upset at yours does not mean I as a person am upset at you. Feelings come and go, sure, but just because my character ends up yelling at yours is nothing personal against you as a writer. Also, if you are upset at me OOC, don't bring that into IC if it's not warranted. Please refer back to Rule #4 and we can talk it out.

OOC

  • Hi, my name is Bones, but I have a plethora of names that you can call me depending on how you know me (ie Bones, sharky, any of my OCs' names, or any of my past names/aliases)

  • I'm of the older age range, thus I'm too old for internet drama. Please read my rules if you have concerns/questions.

  • I use mod syncs (Playersync and Lightless). It's personally preferred, but not absolutely needed. If you don't mod, that's totally fine, just don't be Holier Than Thou because of it.

  • I prefer the darker themes of writing, and my characters often delve into that side of writing (again, read my rules). I don't mind slice of life, but I find it boring if found in overabundance. My brain needs variation, and a little grit

Schedule-wise, at the moment, it's fairly static, if a little wonky, given how part-time work goes with schedules. I work on average 30hrs a week, with most evenings free. Just ask!I'm a hobby artist, Gposer, and modder

Hanako Ishikawa

Hanako, like her siblings, were born into a warm, and wealthy family of notoriety within the East. She adored her parents and siblings, just as they adored her.
Throughout her childhood, she had a jittery sense of adventure, and a fondness of fighting and different kinds of martial arts. she was lucky, a father and an aunt and uncle capable of teaching her various forms of martial arts. From her uncle, she learned the ways of the viper; and from her father and aunt, eastern martial arts and the startings of weapon mastery.
Like her siblings, she also had the privilege of attending Sharlayan, where she learned the majority of her magic skills, and later, learn of Red Magic, from a wandering teacher in Mor Dhona. Red magic is where she truly bloomed, a mix of magic and blade.
After graduating primary schooling, she went on to become an adventurer with her traveling partner and personal Tank, Xula.

For years, the woman traveled, only returning home once or twice a year, though she wrote home often. She always had some new story to tell, perhaps some being embellished a little, but what adventurer doesn't?Something...happened, however, that changed the course of her life. Two things, actually, but neither she will never expand upon, aside from those she is closest to. The only thing one will know is that one day she may be drinking cheap coffee and tending to paperwork, the next she could be out in the markets in nice clothes and doll-like makeup shopping and eating to her heart's content, all accompanied by small gold and white moths trailing behind and around her.

  TEMPERAMENT
Hanako is a woman who prefers to sit back within a room and listen, rather than actively engage with others. Frankly, one would be lucky to even see her in a room with others, you would usually find her stuck behind a desk behind a pile of work. The hard glare from behind the pile speaks volumes, and you would be met with a commanding, though discourteous "What do you want?" rather than a warm welcome. Despite this, though, should you manage to climb the rigorous ranks of her social circle, you would find a caring and loyal woman who would sacrifice any and all to ensure your safety. Good luck in that endeavor, though.

hooks

  Sharlayan Scholar.
Like most of her siblings, Hanako had the privilege of attending the Sharlayan Studium as a student. Many fellow former students may not remember her, on account that she often skipped classes. It's a surprise she passed, yet here she is.
  Obsidian Rose.
Following a six month leave from her adventuring days just a year or two ago, the woman would start up her own company, Obsidian Rose. From there she collected a small, but talented, group of individuals to hunt and kill voidsent, for the right price.
Once a small voidsent hunting company, relocated to ilsabard where the veil is thinnest, has now bloomed into Obsidian Rose Academy, where even the smallest buds may flourish and grow into the mightiest of thorns against the growing voidsent threat.
  Golden.
Should one have aether sense or aether sight, one would see an odd entangling of light-aspected aether in her body. Not her aether, though one would not be remiss to think it was, but it coexisted as easily as she breathed air. And beside her, a golden butterfly comprised of that very same light aether.

Ayaka Ishikawa

Little is known about Ayaka beyond the years of her marriage to Ren Ishikawa, the last head of the original Ishikawa-kai. Many speculate, due to her scars that peek out from under her occasional revealing clothes, but very few come close to the truth. Those who have, either disappear, or remain within her inner circle. Many know her as the housemaid-turned-wife of Ren, just a year after his previous beloved had finally succumbed to her sickness. Whispers on the wind called for sabotage and murder, but those voices did not find themselves speaking after long.
The pair would go on to have three children, but just a few years after their third child, the family was gone with barely a trace. Blood in tracks. Ren's head on a pike in front of the estate.
The woman worked diligently under an ally's wings, and only just months later would she meet Seiji. The pair worked together as employer and employee, none noticing the occasional telling glance or odd touch. The family that the pair worked under would eventually crumble, though they had made their daring getaway just months prior, watching from afar as they welcomed their child into the world, bringing their family of four to a total of five.
Just two years later, Seiji would take her name and announce that he wished to rebuild the Ishikawa family, vowing to bring them back to their former glory- nay, beyond that, far greater, wishing to sow the seeds of a new legacy for their children, and future generations.
Today, they operate the Ishikawa Zaibatsu within Hingashi, calling an undisclosed mountain and its estate their home.

TEMPERAMENT    Ayaka is a woman who always comes off as a soft and warm, even maternal, person. She always has a smile to show others, and always offers a snack to children she comes across. However, such warmth is just a mask, as a cold ruthlessness washes over her if a member of her family is hurt or threatened.

hooks

  The Ishikawa, then and now.
Ayaka was only a handmaiden within the Ishikawa clan, many years before its fall, until she married the head of the family, Ren. Ten years later, she would barely escape with her life, and two of her children. Years later she met her now-husband, who later vowed to build the family back up, into something far greater than it had been, to sow seeds for a new legacy.
  Eyes Everywhere.
Ayaka is a mysterious woman who seems to know anything and everything happening. Even if one may not want her to know, it seems as if she can, almost like she's reading ones mind. But even if she doesn't know, she will find out eventually, and running is no use.
  Generous Benefactor.
If one finds themself in dire straits, word is that the Ishikawa are the ones to turn to, they will handle your needs, for but a small price of your loyalty.

Kohaku Ishikawa

Kohaku was born the youngest of seven children, and grew up within a generally happy, loving family.
He wasn ten summers of age when he, and his older sister Lia, were named the next heir of the Ishikawa Zaibatsu. It was through Lia not being named sole heir that a major, irreparable rift was caused between the pair, and the two have never seen eye to eye since. Despite this, Kohaku is diligent in his studies, working hard to meet the standards needed to lead the Ishikawa clan; at 22, he'd taken on most of the responsibilities his mother once held.
